I’m Cassidy Rose; I’m 20, and this blog is an attempt to make sense of the wild yearnings of my heart. I love to sing, read, run, play my Celtic harp, and have deep conversations about life and faith. I’m a journalism and philosophy double-major at Point Loma Nazarene University in San Diego. Living by the ocean is a dream come true.
I am a firm believer in miracles. One of my favorite miracle stories is the story of the Virgin of Guadalupe. Mother Mary appeared to Juan Diego, a completely ordinary man who was fighting anxiety and trying to figure out the world. His uncle was dying, and he was entering a season of deep hopelessness. Mary appeared and urged him to be faithful—a reminder that Christ was with him. To prove this was true, she left him fresh, vibrant red roses in the middle of winter.
Like roses in winter, we are miracles.
I’m praying for you, dear readers. Thank you so much for spending your time with me. You are the most beautiful rose in winter.
